Requirements:
- Blackberry OS version 4.1.0 or higher.
- Blackberry browser that supports SSL (preinstalled on most Blackberries).
- A publicly accessible BIG-IP. The Blackberry is automatically outside your network, so you must have a public route to the BIG-IP for the blackberry to contact the device.
Installation:
To install this application, download the zip file in the links section, unzip the contents to a directory, and follow the normal procedure for using the Blackberry Desktop Manager to install an application.
After installation, the BIG-IP icon will appear on the desktop (older color Blackberries), or in the Applications folder (newer blackberries).
When you run the applicaiton you must log into the BIG-IP. Any function you do not have rights to perform on the BIG-IP will not function properly on your Blackberry.
Limitations:
This version of the application allows you to see a lot, but not change much. This is by design, and future releases may allow you to manage some portions of your BIG-IP, depending upon user demand.
This system is limited by the connection of your Blackberry. To validate that you have a valid usename and password and a clear enough connection to communicate with your BIG-IP, choose "Test Connectivity" from the login screen.
