Hello everyone.  I am new to the forum, but have been tasked with troubleshooting a recent deployment of our Oracle Agile PLM application.  This is LB'd with a VS on port 80, with 3 servers in the pool, load-balancing round-robin (no priority group).  We are running this on BIG-IP 9.3.1 Build 40.2.

The problem with the application is during the login.  When they go directly to the server for logon, it takes around 5 seconds.  When they hit the VIP, it takes around 20 seconds for login.  I have packet captures of both transactions (I have yet to review - working on now).  I want to just get this post out there to gauge if there is anyone with similar experience (I got pulled into the project this week, and they are going live this weekend - trying to pool all my resources, so starting with DC).

Thank you,
Chad

Hi Chad,

Did you end up figuring this out? Was it a network issue or some kind of lookup that the server was doing on the client IP address?

Hey Aaron -

So far, issue is unresolved. We are digging into some captures today, and will be testing with only 1 node in the pool, as opposed to 3 nodes. If/when I find out more, I will post results.

Thanks,
Chad
