Don is a Strategic Architect on the DevCentral Core Team. Don focuses on WebAccelerator, reference architectures, content management, and Java development.

Having worked at companies ranging from 20 to 20,000 employees, working in nearly every IT position possible – Don has never been a network engineer – with a breadth of experience, that will hopefully help DevCentral users get the most of their experience.


Don has his Masters of Science in Computer Science, and even did a stint as a full-time product reviewer. In the end, he enjoys learning and having fun at the same time. Long hours are cool, if they are necessary and the end result is tangible.


The quote that Don's co-workers will remember him for is "They don’t call them DEAD lines for nothing" which originated with his first major project management gig.

When not working on DevCentral, don is a writer, table top wargamer, software developer, modeler, table top RPG player, and general goof-off. He has a couple of books under his belt (all with Lori), and a couple of modules for the Castles and Crusades roleplaying game. Currently, time not taken up by work and family generally goes to one of the several websites he runs with Lori.


Don's wife Lori is a member of the DevCentral Extended Team, they tend to follow each other from job to job. Except that one bit of time in 1996-1998. They have three children, all teenagers (News Flash! Four kids, 21 down to 14 years old, and an addition in 2008!), a seemingly immortal cat, and a small yippee dog.
