 The Race is On!
posted on Thursday, August 28, 2008 9:40 AM

I started blogging back in 2003 for the DevCentral team.  Back in the beginnings I used to use my blog as a place to put cool iRule or iControl examples but over time those felt more relevant as docs and tips or codeshare samples.  Due to the length of time I've been blogging I've had a good lead on the team in terms of number of posts but it seems that's no longer the case.

TheRaceIsOn A relative new comer to the F5 blogger team has snuck up on me while I wasn't paying attention and all of a sudden has gained the lead!

So, let this blog post act as an official declaration of war against the crazed blogger that is Lori Mac Vittie. I'm not sure if I can keep up with the insanity of her average of posting one post a day for the last 4 months, but I'll darn well try - even if I have to resort to continuing this "The Race Is On" posts day after day just to keep up B-).

I guess this is a good thing as I've been lax on my blogging as of late and this is a good kick in the pants to get me going again.  All joking aside, Congrats and Thanks Lori for the great blogging you've been doing for us here at DevCentral and PLEASE keep it up!

Till next post...

-Joe

Gravatar Heh.

"Remember that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize. You also must run in such a way that you will win." 1 Cor. 9:24

Just happens to be my favorite quote.

Gravatar there's another quote that comes to mind especially when running a marathon - that's almost the same as Lori's: There's only one winner and the rest are just Finishers.

Gravatar Only one person get's the prize huh? I seem to remember seeing a few races at the Bejing games where 4 runners shared the gold (granted, that wasn't in the marathon). Despite my failed attempt at humor, we're a team and I think of it as if we are on a big relay race each passing the baton. A little inter-team challenging is a good thing and some of us run faster than others, but it's the total for the team that determines victory. So, if I can do anything close to keeping up with Lori then the victory is ours! ...That is if Colin, Don, and Jeff get off their penny loafers, put on their spikes, and get typing!

And if I didn't get the point across: Thanks for the great contributions Lori!!!
