socialmedia Welcome to my series of blog posts on the ABC's of Social Media, a tool that you can use to make you more "hip" in the world of Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn (just to name a few).  Today's letter is "D".  There are some great social media sites such as Digg and Delicious but that would have been too easy.  How about a fun new word that relates to a risk of blogging?  Are you a blogger? Just be careful what you post and don't get Dooced.

"D" is for Dooced

YouAreFired Dooced

Pronounced: Doost

Dooced is a term associated with someone getting fired for the content written in a blog post or web site (not for the act of writing, but for what is published).  From the popular site, Dooced.com (by an author who once vented about her company - and got fired because of what was written).

If you think you are in a position where you might get Dooced, then you might want to check out the following post on "How To Not Get Dooced".

Happy Blogging!
