Earlier this week the Fast Web Race announced that the rules for the contest have changed slightly.  There are now two categories – one for sites looking for improvement and one for sites that want to brag about how they’ve achieved performance improvements.  The rules of category one haven’t changed so if you’re looking for some free advice on how to improve your web sites performance sign up now.

For those looking to brag about all the hard work that was devoted to improving their web applications here’s what you have to do.

  1. Download the KITE software and record a transaction through your application.
  2. Describe all the hard work, techniques, or acceleration solutions you used to achieve these goals.  Don’t forget to talk about what the performance was like before implementing these improvements.
  3. Submit your entry.

The deadline for submitting to both contests is July 15th.  What are you waiting for?
