You know it, and I know.  At the end of the day, those who own the box  are on the hook for failures.  Said owners, therefore, are not so eager to let you on the lot to kick the tires, and they certainly are not going to let you take a test drive.  I get that.  Risk is scary, and consequences are real.  Enter partitions.  First introduced in version 9.4, partitions allow the BigIP administrators to grant twofold access to the system: what objects can be accessed, and what the user with rights to that partition can do with those objects.
