I attended a conference earlier this week and wound up discussing blogs at dinner.  Around the table there was a collection of financial analysts, CEOs and me.  The topic of blogs came up and the consensus was “I don't get it”.  A show of hands revealed that less than half had read a blog and that only two of us did so regularly.  I was the only one who maintained a blog.

It was an interesting discussion.  We talked about RSS, legal exposure, and relative value to both the reader and the blogger.  By the end of the discussion I think those who hadn't at least explored the blogsphere felt as though they were missing out on something.  Hopefully we gained a few converts.
