I spent most of this week in London. On the way there & back I saw more than my fair share of guys wearing bluetooth earpieces for their phones, iPod Shuffles hanging around their necks and monstrous noise cancelling headphones. My unscientific observation is that this look is more prevalent for US travelers and that these items are more prevalent than previous trends. I can't stand even wearing a phone on my belt. Perhaps I'm still scarred from seeing kids in school with calculators proudly strapped to their hips. On a different front, I was talking to one of our reseller partners and the conversation turned to Bluetooth and security. As part of the discussion we scanned a couple of rooms for Bluetooth devices. We cracked up when the list of devices popped up. The group attending our session in London sure is creative with their Bluetooth device IDs!
