#Interop #F5

f5interop-2012

In addition to being available at Interop all week (booth #2137) F5 will be participating in and hosting a number of events and sessions.

All Week

In the booth, all week, we’ll be showcasing a variety of interesting technology solutions that go beyond load balancing. We’ll be talking data center transformation, VDI, cloud computing, mobile security, identity and access, and of course, core network security (because firewalls fail but you shouldn’t have to). Visitors can also play the “Big Claw Challenge” for a chance to win prizes, including an iPad 3, Xbox 360 with Kinect, gift cards, and much more.

F5 and Microsoft have created a virtualized network architecture to enable more agile cloud deployments, which will be demonstrated at F5’s booth. The joint solution will show the ease of managing application workloads across traditional network and data center boundaries using the F5® BIG-IP® Local Traffic Manager and Windows Server 8 Beta Hyper-V. Specifically, the joint solution will demonstrate how to move an on-premise virtual machine (VM) to a shared infrastructure hosted data center without changing the IP address of the application VM.

Tuesday May 9

We’ll be hosting an IT professional reception Tuesday at 5pm. Stop by the booth and get your invitation!

As a panelist Tuesday, F5 CTO Karl Triebes will offer F5’s viewpoint on the ways that physical, virtual, and hybrid ADN architectures can support specific initiatives, and how to evaluate deployment options in making the best choices for the future of an organization’s network in a panel discussion entitled, “Is This the End of Physical Appliances?”

Additionally, F5 will host an IT Professionals Reception in Reef D on Tuesday, May 8 at 5:00 p.m. PT.

Wednesday May 10

F5 will participate in the Interop Booth Crawl at 3:30 p.m. PT.

F5 will offer a class detailing how F5 solutions help power the Interop NOC. Entitled “Data Center Application and Service Delivery,” the class will be held in the InteropNet Classroom in booth #450.

So if you’ll be attending Interop, be sure to stop by and say hello, grab some swag for the kiddies, and check out some F5 solutions.
