So, I'm entering my 3rd week of paternity leave and we are just getting into the swing of things with little number 3 so I thought I'd try to make use of my season pass at Snoqualmie Pass here just outside of Seattle. Ski season is usually in high gear by this time in January and I was really pumped on getting back onto the slopes and here's what I greeted me on the Summits website:

Unfortunately, The Summit will not be operating until we receive more snow. While we've tried all our tricks to keep things going, Mother Nature has bigger tricks at her disposal, and so she wins this round. We are very confident that this is a temporary setback, and that we'll see you on the slopes soon. We are encouraged that next week's forecast calls for winter to return.

What a drag! Hopefully I can get some slope time before I have to report back to work...
