Today several of us met with one of Netscaler's (now owned by Citrix) largest resellers. It was lots of fun to spend time talking about the differences in architectures and approaches. It didn't take very long at all for the reseller to see why F5 has a vastly superior approach.


It's interesting to see that since F5 launched V9, we've had a big impact on Netscaler's growth. Using the Dell'Oro market share numbers that were released last night, we can see that their quarterly growth rate has decreased by 2/3 since September 2004 when we launched V9. They have been able to reach mid-single digit market share.


F5 has gained 12% market share in the past 24 months to capture 31% of the total L4-7 market!
