Ok, this was too cool not to blog about.

The gang over at Windows Live Local strapped some cameras to their cars, hit the streets of Seattle and San Francisco, and have taken street level pics of most areas of the downtown areas. Then they've taken these images and built a dual pane view to simulate driving or walking through those cities and what you would see if you were really there.

You navigate the car with the mouse or directional keys on the keyboards.

They've also built in search so you can key in what businesses you want to look for and they will be overlayed on the map.

Scoble said that they accumulated 10 million images for Seattle alone.

Pretty sweet Ajax app!
