Configuring the Web Accelerator Module

Using the WebAccelerator Module should be viewed as adding a complex profile to an HTTP/S Virtual Server.  This profile is added by creating a WebAccelerator enabled class and assigning it as a resource to a Virtual Server with an HTTP profile.

Expand the WebAccelerator portion of the UI and click on the plus sign of the Classes section to create a new WebAccelerator enabled class.

Just give it an appropriate name, accept all the other defaults, and click finished.

Go back to the Virtual Server you desire and add the new HTTP class under the Resources tab.

Then, the next step is to configure the desired applications on the WebAccelerator Module.  Under the WebAccelerator portion of the UI, click on the Applications section to open up a new WebAccelerator window.

Click on the plus sign of the Applications section to create a new application.

Give the application an appropriate name and description (the description is optional) and then select the policy in the drop down menu (from the policy library).  Under the Hosts sections, you must add all of the host names that the web application uses.  In many cases, web applications will use multiple host names such as:
www.companyname.com
images.companyname.com
subapp.companyname.com
When you are done, click save.  The WebAccelerator Module is now completely configured.
