If some has already built a lab for APM please share the topology and the resources used like except APM VM what other servers are required for LAB.

Yes you can run your VM on Workstation. As for other servers, I used the f5 vlab LAMP server as a pool member for a test resource/ldap server/CA Authority.

I also used VM's in the cloud platforms (trial versions on AWS, Azure, and GCP) to side step the licensing situation for Windows. I used Windows Servers to lab things I couldn't do on the f5 vlab LAMP server such as RDP/AD/Kerberos/NTLM integration with APM.

Hi Ngutierrez31,

If you have topology or any book for building a LAB can you please share with me. I am like beginner for APM only worked on f5 LTM.

That would be very helpful.

Thanks Ashish Solanki

It would be the same type of topology you're used to with LTM. You'll have LAMP/Windows servers sitting on an internal VLAN, and the VIP/VS that you authenticate to APM with will be tied to an external VLAN.

client---->f5_external_vlan----f5_internal_vlan---->LAMP/Windows server.
