Big-IQ > Access Logging Service is not set up

Hi All, Just installed Big-IQ and had my only Big-IP LTM VE Lab discovered. No problem. I can see the LTM under Configuration and Devices tabs. However under the tab Monitoring > Dashboards I get the following message: - Access Logging Service is not set up. Please check your BIG-IQ Logging configuration to receive accurate data

I 've search but not found what and where I should do this. Can anyone point me at the right direction please?

Thanx Jaap

JaapL,

You need to create a new logging node in the BIG-IQ GUI but first you need another BIG-IQ licensed to be a logging node. See Planning and Implementing BIG-IQ and see section on deploying a Data Collection Device.

It seems it has to be another BIG-IQ for logging or a SevONE PLA appliance.

Hope this helps,

N

Hi Nathan,

I was already 'afraid' it would be necessary to setup data collection. Hoped it could be a simple log server. Wil look into how to squeeze the data collector into my small lab. :)

Thanx for your reply!

Hello, I had the same problem. You have to configure a DCD to collect statistics from your IP Devices. Go to the IQ Gui --> System --> Big-IQ Data Collection --> Add a DCD --> Services --> Activate what you need

I only have an APM working but I add a screenshot.
