DNS GTM tmsh create wideip wildcard error

I am trying to import a few thousand wildcard DNS wide IP's into DNS or GTM 11.6.1

It doesn't appear possible with TMSH, is there another way. I find it hard to believe that the only way to import wildcard DNS entries to wide IP's is by using the gui.

See below, I also tried without the \

[admin@wingtmin:Active:In Sync] ~ # tmsh create gtm wideip *.cloud.aaa.com pool-lb-mode global-availability pools add {VIHNT_ads_80 VIWIN_ads_80} Syntax Error: the "create" command does not accept wildcard configuration identifiers [admin@wingtmin:Active:In Sync] ~ #

tmsh create gtm wideip "*.cloud.drifzwheels.com" pool-lb-mode global-availability pools add {VIHNT_ads_80 VIWIN_ads_80}

It appears you have to enclose it and escape it as above.

tmsh create gtm wideip "*.cloud.aaa.com" pool-lb-mode global-availability pools add {VIHNT_ads_80 VIWIN_ads_80}

You have to escape the wildcard caracter and put it into ""
