Encrypted syslog via TLS

Hello,

is it possible to encrypt the logging to a remote server using TLS? There is some old documentation, but it seems to be outdated. Can you help me with the current status of this?

Thank you very much!

Cheers,

Daniel

If you are talking about the system logs, as far I know there is no option for that within the F5 configuration.

Anyway, the syslog-ng is not a F5 software, so you can configure the same way you configure in another Linux box.

Here is the official documentation for syslog-ng:

Okay, so you mean that I can use the Linux shell on the WAF to configure a syslog that remotely logs to a server of my choice using TLS?

Thank you very much for you answer!

No, I was talking about system logs.

If you are talking about ASM, that is different.

There are more options there when you setup the Logging profile, but I don't see any option for TLS. Not sure if ASM will still use syslog-ng to deliver the messages, if that is the case, the change to syslog-ng behavior will apply to ASM as well.
