Error with make i-series eud udisk on VE

When I try to make i10000 eud udisk on VE, there will be an error:

Then I check mkdisk script, I found

This is the reson why I failed, this new script will get current pid to make udisk, but the EUD package don't include VE(Z100).

And when I make eud udisk for 4000/2000 and viprion-B2150, there is no error, then I check their mkdisk script, they are different from i-series script, they do not need to get pid from current device, so they do not have this error.

From this script we can see on old platfrom and viprion, the script let user to select a platfrom After running script.

Now, I can create i-series' EUD udisk after change pid to right one, but I need running command manually because it is read-only.

But it is too complicated, can F5 change the script to let user select platfrom like old platfrom?

Hi,

Your test is done in GUEST or HOST? because End User Diagnostics (EUD) software is a set of diagnostic tests that provide reports about various components in the HARDWARE unit. And I think it must be execute on Hypervisor (host) instead Guest (VCMP).

No, I got this error when I try to create a bootable EUD USB disk for i-series platfrom on Virtual Edition. And this error while not appears when I try to create a bootable EUD USB disk for 4000/2000 and viprion platfrom on Virtual Edition. I used the script named mkdisk in EUD file.

Hi Aoba,

F5 employees will probably read your question and may agree with your idea. But the chances are rather slim that something gets changed by posting here in this board...

It would be far more effective, to open a F5 support case and ask for a RFE (Request for Enhancement) so it can be tracked accordingly and prioritized based on the customer demands...

Cheers, Kai
