F5 User group (New York city)

Currently there isn't an F5 user group in the New York city area. (Actually it seems there isn't any).

Anybody interest in joining/starting one? (I am based in New York, but if you are in another region and want to coordinate efforts, let me know).

Thanks,
-Brian

Great idea Brian,

If there is enough interest we could probably get a one or two of us from our team to fly in for one of the meetings - I've personally always wanted to visit NYC.

Also, if there is a desire for a user group in the Seattle area, we would be glad to host it at our corporate office.

We have been thinking about getting one setup in the Midwest area. Not sure if my boss would let us Fly to NYC for this. It there any F5 tradeshow where we could all get together. It would be nice to talk to other user face to face to get a feel what everyone is doing. Thanks

F5 participates in most of the major trade shows (most recently the Microsoft PDC down in LA last week). At this point we don't have our own show (but we're working on it...) so in the mean time, maybe we can setup some night meetups at the major shows for the F5 customers attending.

We are very interested in everyones feedback on this topic!

I think this is a great idea. If there's a F5 group then I would probably join. I'm from Northwest region.

I think to get started we will need a website/wiki and a mailing list (or maybe a devcentral forum?).

If someone can provide hosting, I am willing to help set it up. (I'd prefer Linux or Solaris as that is what I am most confortable with managing).

Thanks,
