Simplifying Kubernetes Ingress using F5 Technologies

Kubernetes Ingress is an important component to any Kubernetes environment as you're likely trying to build applications that need to be accessed from outside of the k8s environment. F5 provides both BIG-IP and NGINX approaches to Ingress and with that, the breadth of F5 solutions can be applied to a Kubernetes environment. This might be overwhelming if you don't have experience in all of those solutions and you may just want to simply expose an application to start.

Mark Dittmer, Sr. Product Management Engineer at F5, has put together a simple walkthrough guide for how to configure Kubernetes Ingress using F5 technologies. He incorporated both BIG-IP Container Ingress Services and NGINX Ingress Controller in this walkthrough. By the end, you'll be able to securely present your k8s Service using an IP that is dynamically provisioned from a range you specify and leverage the Service Type LoadBalancer. Simple as that!
