Is it possible to serve local files via HTTP...

I have a Big IP LTM 6400 which contains a file (log file with IP information) that I would like to retrieve from another system.

 

 

I'm trying to stay away from using SCP to get this file, and I was curious if there was a way to make a HTTP request for the file through some virtual server/iRule magic?

    You can't get file system access from an iRule, so this won't be very simple through a virtual server. However, you can download files from LTM via iControl. So you could build a SOAP over XML client to do this. I think SCP might be easier though. You can also get a limited number of log records from the GUI under System | Logs.
