Load balancing methods not working on pool??

I have a problem with load balancing RDP connections on a pool on my LTM. I currently have 5-6 other load balancing pools that perform fine with the same configuration. I use MSRDP persistence with a timeout of 2 hours for port 3389 on the VS. The pool load balancing method is least connections (member). That worked fine when I had 15 servers in the pool. I recently added 35 additional servers and all of a sudden I have some servers with 10-12 connections and other servers with 0 connections.

I've tried least connections (node) and Round Robin but it made no difference. I ran 'bigpipe persist pool delete' last night to see if clearing the persistence records would help but came in this morning with the same result. My next step might be just to reboot the damn thing. I've been on the phone with support for two days. No one gave me a good answer. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  • Hi,

Can you list out the persistence records for the virtual server to see what's happening?

b persist mode msrdp show all

    Also, what's your case number?

Aaron The fix for this turned out to be disabling CMP for this particular virtual server until the traffic picks up.
