Fail-over configuration on version 11.1.0

Hi everyone,

I have recently updated the ios version on a LTM box to 11.1.0 and I was trying to do a fail-over unit configuration but I see my self totally lost, the fail-over configuration seems to have totally change. Can someone share a document showing how to configure the Fail-over unit in version 11.1.0.

Regards,

  • Configuring the units in fail-over scenario seems like doing a project what is this... this is too much... is it possible that if i am upgrading the units from a previous version of IOS 10.X the newer version 11.1.0 will retain the fail-over configuration or it will loose it any idea over this?????/

  • since architecture is changed, i do not think failover configuration from previous version is usable.
  • Also I can not find from where to start the installation wizard the welcome page is also gone out... what is happening? Is there a way to invoke the setup/installation wizard in this newer version??
  • not sure but i think it might not be available in v11.
  • My GOD I feel like I am in a totally new world... where I am not ready to be... why this v11 so changed it's forcing me to change all my concept ... huh....
  • Hi Nitass,

I have created an internal VLAN and allowed all the port lockdown now when i try to use the same vlan for fail-over it is not allowing why is that, this way I am going to loose a port it should not be happening if i configure it instead of wizard manually will it work????
