routing traffic with different ip series

Hi, I downloaded BigIP f5 Trial edition and installed it in my ESX server. I've configured Mangaement ip in 10.223.11.x, External to 10.223.30.x and Internal to 192.168.1.x.

I've a Virtual IP with address 10.223.30.15. When I install my server in 192.168.1.x, I'm able to access server via Virtual IP

When I install server in 10.223.9.x or in 10.223.11.x series and trying to access this via Virtual IP, it's not working. In simple, through the Virtual IP I'm able to access my server home page only if the server is installed either in external or in Internal ip series defined in BigIP

I tried SNAT Automap too, but I'm not able to reach the page of 10.223.9.x server when my external address is configured to 10.223.30.x.

I was going throw several articles about using using SNAT or routing which I'm not very clear. I'm not so prolific in networking. I believe it will be some simple configuration or command which I'm not able to figure out. Any help is highly appreciated

  • I tried SNAT Automap too, but I'm not able to reach the page of 10.223.9.x server when my external address is configured to 10.223.30.x. does bigip have route for 10.223.9.x e.g. static route or default route?
  • Yes it does. From BigIP machine, i'm able to ping all the machines in the network series I've in my lab. 10.223.9.x, 10.223.11.x, 10.223.30.x and 10.223.31.x.

what is the port number you have associated with the virtual IP?

Does the virtual ip is up and running(i.e whether it is in green or blue) ?

For ex: if the port iis 80(http), check for the status of the service(http) in client and server. If the status of the service is "stopped" means restart it and check for the status of virtual IP.
