copy config from one viprion to another in version 10.2.3

Hi,

 

I need to copy config from one viprion to another in version 10.2.3. To do this I believe I need to download the ucs file from the viprion I am copying from, extract files, edit the bigip_base.conf and zebos.conf files and then zip the file back again and upload it to the other viprion. Am I right? Are there any other changes that need to be done?

    why won't you just load ucs from another viprion first and then change it later (while disconnecting to network)?

     

     

    or if configuration you want is in scf, you may use scf instead of ucs.

    By your first suggestion do you mean copy ucs to other viprion and then change the running config on that viprion? I thought that might not work because certain configs have to be changes before copying the the config over for instance the host name.

    i do not know what configuration you want to copy. if it is shared configuration, you may just restore ucs from another viprion but need to make sure hostname is different.
