Install Certificate for Web Management

Hi,

I wans to install a company trusted certificate on the F5 I have.

At first i tried to do so via exporting CSR from "LTM > SSL Certificate" then my System team signed it and i installed the CER.

The Certificate is good there but cannot be assigned (nothing that I saw how)

Then I tried any combination of import at "System > Device Certificate".

Has anyone tried/did this ?

I swear F5 is hiding documents in this messy website, why isn't it simple to find anything here ?!?!

Thanks!

  • The web management certificate is handled under the Device Certificate section. You should be able to generate a CSR from there, get it signed, then import the new certificate.
  • I can't find how to do this you have the certificate (the one which is signed by your system team) and key files, haven't you? if so, can you import them at system > device certificate?
  • Under System > Device Certificates, you'll either need to IMPORT an already signed certificate AND key, a PKCS 12 file (that contains certificate and key), or create a new certificate with the CSR process by clicking the Renew button and selecting Certificate Authority as the issuer. Fill in all of the information, click Finished, download the CSR, get the CSR signed by your CA, then import the new certificate. In the Renew process, the private key is generated on the box and doesn't leave the box. You just need to import the newly-signed matching certificate.
  • Damn, I tried EVERYTHING but the renew :)

All good, Certificated installed and working on all.

    Thanks!
