f5fpapi.dll missing from SDK?

Searching the forums, I found a reference to this .dll that looks like it's supposed to be part of the SDK. However, it is not included in the SDK and I would like to know where to find it?

  • That's odd. I know it should be there as I use it in several of my projects. I'll get an updated SDK posted tomorrow on the iControl Page.

  • BTW, I've been told not to rely on a fixed version of the client api as it may be dependent on the release of the Firepass device. Here are instructions on how to download it from your target device.

    Obtaining the Client Setup package.

You can obtain theFirePass Client Setup package containing the API DLL and all other client-side components from your FirePass controller, as follows:

    1. Using an Admin login, log in to the Firepass Admin Console.

    2. If you use version 5.0 of the FirePass controller, expand the Device Management menu. If you use version 4.1.1 with HotFix HF-33069-33712-2 applied, expand the Server menu.

    3. Do one of these things:

    * Navigate to the Maintenance : Client Downloads screen and click the Click here to download MSI setup package link.

    * Paste or type the following URL into your browser. Substitute the IP address or fully-qualified domain name of your Firepass controller for .

    https:///vdesk/admincon/desktop/F5%20VPN%20Clients%20Setup.msi

    4. The installation proceeds automatically, using the Microsoft MSI-compliant installation process. This operation downloads the components to your local system to begin deployment.
