redirect from table

I need an iRule (v9) to direct incoming traffic to one of my pools based on the virtual server calling the irule.

 

I have table like this:

 

christmasgifts101.comMIS-WEB20-1

 

closeprotection.ws MIS-WEB20-7

 

coffeebeanqueen.com MIS-WEB20-8

 

compactflashdrives.comMIS-WEB20-3

 

compact-flash-drives.comMIS-WEB20-3

 

So I want christmasgifts101.com to go to pool MIS-WEB20-1, closeprotection.ws to go to pool MIS-WEB20-7, coffeebeanqueen.com to go to pool MIS-WEB20-8 etc.

    Hi,

     

     

    Is there a compelling reason to not just configure a standard virtual server pointing to a pool for this?

     

     

    If you did want to use a rule, you could create a datagroup (called a class in the bigip.conf) with the virtual server name (or virtual server IP address) and the pool, get the virtual server name with [virtual name], and then use the findclass command to look up the pool for the corresponding virtual server name.
