F5 OIds for calculating Workload(number of packets sentto multicast/broadcast address to a higher layer)

I have a F5-1500-GTM loadbalancer.

To monitor workload(The number of packets, delivered by a sub-layer to a higher (sub-)layer, which were addressed to a multicast or broadcast address at this sub-layer), i am using the following Oid's

ifInNUcastPkts 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.12

ifInUcastPkts 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.11

but the oid ifInNUcastPkts(1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.12) is absent in the mib.So when a SNMPGet request is sent, the whole response is received null.

Also the oid ifLastChange(1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.9) is absent. This oid returns the value of sysUpTime at the time the interface entered its current operational state.

Can any other oid's be used in replacement with this oids.

Thanks & Regards

Anuradha

  • If something like that is missing, that's probably a better question for support since it is most likely not a config issue. That sounds like a product issue.

Thanks for bringing that to our attention -- I've raised a Support case to investigate the absence of these OIDs.

Official Word from PD via support case c398143:

"V4.5.14 used an F5 implemented version of snmp, we now use net-snmpd. It is a known issue that net-snmpd does not support either of these OIDs.

There are no plans to implement this ourselves."
