Cannot install iRuler on VISTA

When attempting to install the iRule editor on my VISTA system, it cannot complete successfully.

When I try to start it, I receive a message box which states, "iRuler - F5 iRule Editor stopped working"

and continues with "A problem has caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program snd notify you if a solution is available"

  • That's odd. I've got it running and installed on a couple of Vista machines. In the mean time, you might try running the install as administrator and see if that makes it happy. Right click on the install executable and select "Run As Administrator". Let me know if that still doesn't work.

  • I totally agree that it's odd.

I tried running the install as administrator.

I am a domain admin and I am using UAC, so normally, I would have thought this would have worked.

No go that way either. I am thinking about logging in as the local administrator and giving THAT a shot.

I am both an F5 and Vista newbie, so...
