LC choose ISP link base on destingation country IP address

Dear all buddy,

We will install a LC with three ISP link. Customer would like to have following policy

Country 1 - ISP 1

Country 2 - ISP 2

Country 3 - ISP 3.

If ISP 1 will be primary link , ISP 2 will secondary and ISP 3 will be the third link.

How can I achieve it by irules as I do not have much knowledge on irules. Please save this dummy life..

Regards,

Dan Dan

  • Hi,

to identify the country you can use the command whereis: Click here

But i'm not sure about how to specify which pool you should use to respond
  • Hi nmenant,

    1. Do whereis support in the outgoing DNS query from Internal in BIG-IP Link Controller. (No GTM license)?

    2. If the internal client is using ISP DNS. Is it a need to lister of ISP DNS?
  • Link controller is a specific product and i'm not sure if it includes GTM irules command

I would advise you to open a support case and ask for those information
  • Hi Dan,

you can try to use topology load balancing method in LC. you can refer to "configuration guide for BIGIP Link Controller" doc.

this doc can be download from support.f5.com.

    regards.
