I using traffic distribution monitor(c.net), downloaded from iControl SDK

    http://devcentral.f5.com/Default.aspx?tabid=76

    connect by

    iControl-4.6.3\sdk\support\SOAP\DOTNET\C\gui\DistributionMonitor

    error is:

Client found response content type of 'text/html', but expected 'text/xml'.

The request failed with the error message:

    --

    Configuration Utility

A problem has occurred in the configuration utility. An attempt to re-load the requested page will be made every 5 seconds while the system automatically recovers from this error. If the configuration utility does not recover from this error within 30 seconds, the error was likely unrecoverable and a customer service representative should be contacted.

  • Hi Riya,

I'm no iControl expert, but it sounds like the HTTP daemon isn't running correctly. If you access the BIG-IP's web interface through a browser, do you get a password prompt? If so, and you enter the credentials, does the GUI load correctly? You might want to check the httpd logs under /var/log/httpd/ to see if you can get more information on the issue. You can restart the HTTPD daemon without affecting production traffic by running 'bigstart restart httpd'.
