to snat or not to snat to pool members

Hi,

I'm configuring LC for failover between 2 ISP links.

Do you think it's possible to configure 1 virtual server (wildcard) and a mix snat/not-to-snat when sending the traffics to the pool member (router)?

e.g:

ISP-A with high priority, when traffics are sent from internal to ISP-A, they will get routed to ISP-A (router A) and SNAT/NATed by ISP-A IP(s). When ISP-A is down, I want the traffics to be sent to ISP-B (Router B) without SNAT.

I think it's possible, but not for sure.

Any input?

thanks,

Mike

  • The only way to do this would be to have the internal and ISP-B network bridged in a vlangroup and be publicly routable, and the one time I tried that it did not work. I have not tried it on recent v9 code though. But I don't think it will work, because LC has to have separate networks to recognize each Link object.
