Sharepoint 2007 Exlorer view

We deployed MS sharepoint 2007 using F5. The VS is listening on port 80 and the servers are listening on port 80. Sharepoint has got a feature called as Explorer view which uses windows share type of access and open sharepoint site in explorer type of view to copy/past, etc for files. Somehow this file share is not working. I am suspecting that since we have allowed only port 80 on VS and pool it is not working.

 

However there are times when the explorer view is available. It is random.

 

 

Anyone deployed sharepoint using F5? Anyone has got any thoughts?

  • You might try finding which port(s) the Explorer functionality uses. You could do this by researching the app and/or by running tcpdump on the client and/or the LTM.
