Unable to use XML_* iRule events

I am unable to use XML_* events in iRules. It gives folowing errors

6: [unknown event (XML_BEGIN_DOCUMENT)] [when XML_BEGIN_DOCUMENT {

line 10: [unknown event (XML_BEGIN_ELEMENT)] [when XML_BEGIN_ELEMENT {

line 13: [unknown event (XML_CDATA)] [when XML_CDATA {

line 16: [unknown event (XML_END_ELEMENT)] [when XML_END_ELEMENT {

All other events works perfect. I have using version 10.0.0

Is there something that needs to be done to enable XML events ?

  • Are XML rules still restricted to Early Access in 10?

    NOTE: The features contained in this namespace require an EA (Early Access) license to be accessed. These commands will not function if your system does not have this license installed. For more information about obtaining the necessary license to access these features, please contact your sales representative. For more information, read about the LicenseDetails

    We recently upgraded to version 10.0.0. from V9.6. If i revert back to V 9.6 then also do u think i will need this EA license ?

    We were not using XML events under 9.6 so never noticed that. This is something new that required iRules to parse an XML document.

    Pls. advice

    The XML iRule and profile were removed in v9.6.x and v10.x. I don't have any information as to why. Sorry. If you go to 9.4.x and have the EA license you should be able to use it. You should probably get in touch with your sales contact for more information.
