Monitoring response times in BIG-IP

Hi,

I have a requirement to measure response times for individual HTTP requests within BIG-IP. I had a look through the MIB to see if such a thing were available but nothing jumps out at me.

I'm guessing it might be easier to get this info from a log file within BIG-IP (a bit like how you'd go about the same thing in Apache)

The reason I ask about the SNMP approach is because the chaps who run BIG-IP aren't sure how to get the info I need and aren't able to provide access to the box so I can find out. However I do have read access to SNMP so I thought this might be a way to get what I needed.

Any input either regarding the log approach or the SNMP approach much appreciated.

Cheers,

Bob

A stats profile might fit the bill for you here.Take a look at this article:

...for a nice intro and how-to.

I believe that these counters are SNMP accessible (another forum thread says that the start at .1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.2.6.19, but I'm unable to confirm that ATM).
