SNMP Performance in v10

We recently upgraded from v9.4.3 to v10.0.1 to take advantage of CMP on our existing hardware. Shortly after the upgrade, we began to notice gaps in our Cacti graphs. After some troubleshooting, the problem appears to be the speed at which the LTM is responding to SNMP gets. What used to complete in approximately 30 seconds is now taking 55-70 seconds. I can replicate the issue performing an snmpwalk against the localhost of an OID. In some instances the walk of 200+ values completes in 1.5s and in others over 20 seconds.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this with v10? Our current peak load is approximately 55% on an active/passive pair of 6800's. We do have a support case looking into this as well. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

  • do you notice the gaps in the standby system as well, or just the active system? I've been looping through an smpwalk to localhost on my 3600 for the last ten minutes and have not noticed any delay (running 10.0.1 HF2)
