log file indicates interface 4.1

Hi, I have a log that i wish to understand. Does the BigIP LTM 6400 have interface 4.1? Here are the other logs that I got.

 

 

Sep 28 13:27:50 hostname lacpd[1190]: 01160018:1: Internal link 4.1 is UNAVAILABLE.

 

Sep 28 13:27:50 hostname lacpd[1190]: 01160018:1: Non working internal trunk member 4.1 triggers switchboard failsafe take action.

 

Sep 28 13:27:50 hostname lacpd[1190]: 01160016:6: Interface 4.1, link admin status: enabled, link status: up, duplex mode: full, lacp operation state: down

 

Sep 28 13:27:50 hostname lacpd[1190]: 01160013:1: Switchboard FailSafe take action is set

 

Sep 28 13:27:50 hostname lacpd[1190]: 01160018:1: Internal link 4.2 is UNAVAILABLE.

 

Sep 28 13:27:51 hostname sod[1198]: 01140029:5: HA switchboard_failsafe lacpd_d fails action is failover and abort tm.

  • Yes, but it's an internal interface, not one you can plug in to.
  • As citizen_elah suggested, 4.1 should be one of the internal trunks from TMM to the SCCP. If this occurred during a maintenance window it might be expected. Else, it's probably indicative of a system failure. You could open a case with F5 Support to get help investigating the issue.
