Class doesn't create web application

So I ran into this problem once before and I can't seem to figure out how I got around it. Basically I create a new class with ASM enabled but when complete it does not automatically create the policy for me. I remeber this happening to me before and I had to manually set it up. I can't seem to figure out how to do this, does any one have any ideas?

  • Other than people trying to create a new HTTP class with ASM disabled, I haven't heard of something like this before.

Which ASM version are you running? Was ASM running when you created the HTTP class with app security enabled?

If you go to the web apps list in ASM, does it show one which corresponds to the HTTP class you created? If you delete and recreate the HTTP class is a new web app created?

So ASM is enabled when I try this and I have tried deleting and recreating. I am running 9.4.7 on these boxes. And no it does not show a cooresponding class when I go into the web app.
  • That's odd. Do you see any errors in /var/log/asm when you create the HTTP class?
