Auto Discover not working even though it tests fine on https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/

I'm on 11.3.0 HF 6 and running iApp template f5.microsoft_exchange_2010_2013_cas.v1.2.0

I can not get autodiscovery to work properly (it used to work before on an old iApp)

https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/ says everything is fine

Using an iPhone on 6.1.3 I put in my account and password. Is comes back very quickly that it is "unable to verify account information" and it populates all the fields EXCEPT domain. When I add the domain its fine.

Anyone ever heard of that? Thanks, Misty

  • We had issues with Autodiscover that pertained to ASM. You don't have ASM also on this BIG-IP, do you?

Hi Misty, I just ran a test with the same version of BIG-IP (my iOS is 6.1.4) and it worked fine.

Have you tried with any non-iOS devices, and if so, do they work?

Does it work if you point your DNS directly to a CAS, instead of the BIG-IP?

Are you using Analytics/AVR on this virtual server?

    thanks

    Mike

  • Yeah I'm not sure if this is a iApp thing or not.

I don't have any test phones other than IOS. I know somewhere someone suggested trying Outlook Anywhere. I'm not sure if I have that available.

I'm not sure how to pull off question 2 in our environment since the LTM hosts the only valid certificate. I guess I could just create a temp VIP for their CAS internally and just leave APM/iApp out of the equation.

No Analytics/AVR that I know of. I certainly didn't configure any.

I guess if you haven't heard about it and it works for you it must be something on the customer side but I'm not an exchange person.

Maybe I'm running into what people are talking about here: http://clintboessen.blogspot.com/2012/10/apple-iphone-ios6-and-exchange.html

    Thanks for the infomation

  • As I worked through the eleventy billion (that's a real number!) exchange issues I had in an environment I support on a volunteer basis, this tool was invaluable:

    Remote Connectivity Analyzer

It supports additional Microsoft tools as well.
