Enterprise Manager and GTM Templates

Does Enterprise Manager support creating GTM (Global Traffic Manager) config templates?

 

For the few templates i see and also when trying to create a custom template i see no wideip options to select from. I only see options like to be able to select VIP's and such for my LTM's.

 

My environment consist of GTM and LTM's thus i would like to be able to create template for either.

 

I know i can monitor the GTM's but i need to be able to push new config's or updated configs out to it just like i would on the LTM side using template's custom or prebuilt. I see very little info on Enterprise Manager and or template's which really concerns me.

    EM for GTM is only compatible if you are running V11 and higher..i also found out the hard way. You will not be able to use GTM Templates to push out GTM changes on V10 and lower GTM.

     

    Per F5 support. Based on my research, EM cannot do anything with V10 GTM Wideips. Here is one explanation from my dev guys on this:

     

    "GTM is supported by EM, but the configuration of wideip.conf is managed by 'gtmd' individually, so it's not possible to manage another BIG-IP configuration managed by mcpd.

     

    In v11.0, GTM wideip.conf configuration is also managed by mcpd, so EM will be able to manage GTM configuration as a part of mcpd configuration object."
