Want to add node names to default LTM iAPP

I am looking for a way to modify the default f5.ltm iApp to ask for and use node names instead of using the IP address. Anyone help?

Most recent iApps accept both node names and ip addresses. What version of TMOS are you running, and where did you find "f5.ltm"?

Correction, I am running the f5.http and it does not accept node names, only IPs. Mine is from an 11.4 install. I want to be able to have admins input a server name as well as give an IP address.

In the 11.4 f5.http template, the pool member entry table has a drop-down menu labeled "Node/IP Address". If you click the drop-down arrow, you will see a list of all registered nodes on BIG-IP. Since you are asking the question, my guess is that you want your admin to enter a FQDN that is new to the BIG-IP, have the iApp resolve it using DNS and add it to its list of nodes. Is that correct?
