LineRate on VirtualBox on Windows

On the LineRate download page I only see one option for hypervisor :

LROS-2.2.1-R-x64.ovaFirst time installation in a hypervisor environment556 MB

VirtualBox says it supports OVF but I think this includes OVA ?

I attempted the following :

File > Import Appliance > LROS-2.2.1-R-x64.ova

Import proceeds with progress bar , but get error :

"Could not find a storage controller named 'SCSI Controller'"

Hi BaltoStar, while Virtual Box is not currently "officially supported", it does work, I will post instructions here to get you going.

    Hi BaltoStar,

The Hypervisor platform we currently support is VMWare vSphere (VMWare Fusion works as well).

With VirtualBox, you will probably need to install from the .ISO image. You'll also need to ensure that both serial ports (COM1 and COM2) are enabled in the VirtualBox settings. Remember that with VirtualBox's default "NAT" network interface settings, the guest image will be assigned an IP address of 10.0.2.15, with a gateway of 10.0.2.2.
