https without iRules or iApps

I have Exchange webmail passing through the F5. Users need to insert https:// before the url to access, previous to going through the F5 only the url without https was necessary. How can I ensure that the https would not be necessary? I am not using irules or iApps for Exchange.

  • create a vip with port 80 and use the irule to redirect from http to https.

as long as you have a VIP on 443 for webmail, you should be good and clients don't need to remember to use https.

    thx

  • Your suggestion will still work even if only the URL (without http or https) is inserted, correct?
