Application very slow using BIGIP

When I use application by the BIGIP LTM (version 11.2.1) the processing is very slow. Scenario: User call VS (192.27.224.x) that directs to pool server (server 192.27.224.x). The problem is that the servers on pool server call many other servers (192.27.224.x) and other network devices (sample: IP camera or VOIP Kiosks on different subnet - 192.27.230.x) When I select the option that the communication is directs other servers outside pool server or network devices does not load the display with the information. But I call directly URL to server of the pool the communication is OK. (not using BIGIP).

Could anyone help me?

Thank you.

  • In my experience, this is usually a routing issue. Check to make sure the route is correct. If you are using SNAT on the VIP and server default gateway is a router with routes to the other networks, routing should work, if no SNAT and server default gateway is the BIG-IP, the BIG-IP needs static routes for the other networks.

  • This can also be a DNS issue, if the backend servers are attempting to do a reverse lookup on the LTM self IP address (if you are using SNAT) and it doesn't resolve.

  • I've the same issue. My setup is like that.

    Cisco ASA<-> BigIP <->Webserver 192.168.0.254192.168.0.100192.168.2.100192.168.2.101

    The Webserver has the Default Gateway to the BIG IP. SNAT on my VIP is enabled. I can "curl www.google.de" on my webserver but if I run "yum update" the speed is 10 kb/s.
