F5 to F5 node

I have one f5 with a priority group in which 4 nodes are in priority 20 and a node priority 10 that is in reality another F5 virtual server with 2 nodes behind it. we are using port 80 I see a connection on node 1 on VSF5-B ---node 1 but I don’t get any content.

When we shut down node 1-4 I get a connection

(20) node1----------------------F5-A------------------VS--------------INTERNET SOURCE (20) node2 (20) node3 (20) node4 (10) node 5---------------------VSF5-B---------------node 1 (I get a connection) node 2

  • Basically VSF5-B is a NODE to F5-A when all the regular servers are down...this is done on port 80
  • Do your virtual server configs match up (same configuration options) between LTM A and LTM B? And are the pool members behind LTM B different servers than are being used as pool members in LTM A?

Feel free to post configs here for us to look at.

Can you please post the configs (virtual servers and pools) from both LTM A and LTM B?

Actually what fixed it was adding the floating ip address in the firewall......firewall???? did i forget to mention there is a firewall between F5A and F5B.....sorry about that....i did have SNAT enabled ....but didn't have the float on the firewall just the physicals....thanks for all comments it helped me drive this to solution!!!
