  • I'm also interested in this topic.

In fact, we are load balancing our SAP routers in our data center today. Basically I think there is no major SAP router feature, which can not be accomplished with a Big-IP LTM (like IP restrictions, etc.), but I would be happy if someone, who is deeper in this topic could share his know-how.

    Cheers, Manuel

  • Maybe take a look into this: https://f5.com/partners/product-technology-alliances/sap

I'm not yet through it, but it might be what we are searching for.

  • Our testing these days shows F5 can technically replace WebDispather. Sure, for some case, there will be a issue (hung with white screen) happen.

Anybody got experience with F5 in front of message server with huge traffic volume, for example, for 10000+ SAP GUI users?

Any update on the query raised here? Can F5 overtake message server as routing the GUI requests to the app servers?

We have Veritas cluster with two nodes and ASCS failover between these two. F5 is processing and acknowledging the GUI requests if message server assigns the request to the same node on which ASCS is running. But if the request is assigned to another node, f5 is blocking them thinking its not a valid response.

      Anyone came across this scenario?

Please advise and thanks in advance.
