[ASM ]about Configure Attack Signatures

Configure Attack Signatures have three defaultassigned systems with General Database, System Independent and Various Systems.

 

What is the General Database? - ex. oracle.....

 

What is the System Independent? -example.....

 

What is the Various Systems? -example.....

  • Probably those Attack Signatures set contain Attacks which are not specific to one type of Platform, OS or application.

     

    Perhaps a better approach is to look what Attacksignatures these sets contain. Go to: Application security >> Attack Signatures : Policy Attack Signatures Filter on Systems Assigned Systems General Database / System Independant / Various systems

     

    I would suggest to enable the default assigned Attack Signature Sets and add all sets relevant to your servers.

     

  • Various Systems: Specific to certain systems/applications not defined within All Systems. Some general attacks that are not dependent on a particular system or code version.

     

    All Systems: All systems covers a wide range of general attacks that run on multiple systems/applications.

     

    General Database: Databae Related Attacks effective in all DBMSs, i.e. PostGre, MySQL, MsSql etc.
