Recently,I found a set of F5 ltm 3900's WEB GUI is Extremely Slow, sometimes no response, but virtul servers work fine. Its loading seems always under 30%. Now I can't do any management work. I have tried to restart httpd, but it's not work....Why the problem can happen ? PLZ tell me another way to fix it.

PS: Its version is BIG-IP 11.3.0 Build 3138.0 Hotfix HF7

Are you using enterprise manager or some other HTTP/iControl based management tool?

Assuming that you're not doing something sub-optimal (like using a management tool which creates a lot of keep-alive connections and leaves them idle), and there are no memory leaks that eventually slow the device down (latest hotfix will help), then you can raise the maximum allowed connections to management GUI like so:

tmsh modify sys httpd max-clients 20

The default is 10, and 20 is generally safe, and should be sufficient. Going higher than that will require evaluating your use case and available device resources, especially RAM.

Thanks for your help, but I don't use any enterprise manager or some other HTTP/iControl based management tool. I always use use GUI via browser. BTW,l have 14 set of F5 LTM 3900(active/standby),but only 1 set goes wrong....

I believe there is hotfix 9 for 11.3 out, you should probably read the release notes and plan an upgrade. By the way, if you want the change in max-clients to be permanent, you need to "tmsh save sys config"
